SAFETY FIRST PROFESSIONAL DRIVER TRAINING

Our Class 1 general course is designed for students to learn to safely and confidently operate a non-synchronized transmission comfortably and in control, cornering and maneuvering a tractor trailer unit including; backing, safely coupling and uncoupling a trailer, and all paperwork required for legal operation in the commercial transport industry. Students will learn to drive with loaded trailers, in order to comprehend the handling and shifting of a loaded transport truck.

This course is recommended for students wishing to enter the industry with a goal towards city pick-up and delivery work, highway transport, or someone already familiar with the industry (swampers, dock persons, or drivers of class 5 delivery vehicles) after completion of our course.

Course duration; 40 hours (4 eight hour days, with refresher and ICBC road test on the 5th day)

Class 1 general course cost; $4000 (plus ICBC test cost and HST)
