Safety First Professional Driver Training offers a comprehensive Class 3 training program for those needing a class 3 licence only.

For those enquiring about a class 3 licence, please note that we strongly recommend considering a class 1 licence instead. There are more employment options with a class 1 licence, you won’t have the added expense of a licence upgrade and testing somewhere in the future, and the cost difference is minimal.
 
 Many do not realize that a person holding a class 1 licence is legally able to operate any licence class below that (with the exception of motorcycles)

Our Class 3 course is designed for students to learn to safely and confidently operate a non-synchronized transmission comfortably and in control, cornering and maneuvering a class 3 unit including backing, and all paperwork required for legal operation in the commercial transport industry. Students will learn to drive in city traffic, highway conditions, and on hills

This course is recommended for students wishing to enter the industry with a goal towards city pick-up and delivery work, sanitation, snowplow, fire department, vacuum and water truck work.

Course duration; 40 hours (4 eight hour days, with refresher and ICBC road test on the 5th day)

 Class 3 course cost; $3800 (plus ICBC test cost and HST)
